Perfection comes from everything fitting together!

Having good dental hygiene is a combination of good teeth, gums and bone, together with a healthy lifestyle and good oral hygiene practices. However, here at Features Nottingham, we understand that despite our best efforts, there may be certain areas of our dental health that we need help with every now and then.

Each person will have a certain genetic profile where particular elements are stronger than others and, as a dentist, it is important to identify the individual’s strength and weaknesses to create a prescriptive treatment plan styled for each client. We provide patients with a detailed and thorough dental examination by our experienced dentists which will include checking for signs of oral cancer, gum disease, tooth decay and failing restorations. Following this, any cosmetic concerns you have can be explored, x-rays may be required and a dental plan will be developed by our experienced private dentists to meet all of your dental needs.

We offer a wide range of private dental treatments and procedures, each done to cater for your individual needs and lifestyle choices. For example, we offer composite bonding, crowns, bridges implants and veneers. For complex implants and surgical procedures we work with Mr Keith Jones who is a consultant maxillofacial surgeon.

Cross-infection control and keeping up with the latest developments in dental technology and materials are very important to us. We are CQC registered and our private dentist, Dr Florin Vulpoiu, has a keen interest in improving people’s lives and confidence.

General Dentistry

Everybody’s teeth are different! Most people, despite their best efforts, need help to retain their teeth and keep a healthy smile.

The best way to look after your teeth is to brush regularly, watch your diet and keep your gums healthy. Gum disease is one of the major causes of tooth loss.

When you do need to consult a dentist to have some work done on your teeth there are now many different options you can choose.

Prevention is the key!

Adult consultation starts at:
£90

A detailed and thorough dental examination is given which will include checking for signs of oral cancer, gum disease, tooth decay and failing restorations. Xrays may be required.

An important part of dental hygiene is removal of dental tartar to prevent gum disease. We perform ultrasonic and hand scaling. Stain removal is optional using the latest high pressure device. This is supported by oral hygiene instruction and dietary advice.

We have a digital radiography system for your comfort which is displayed on a large screen TV/ computer screen for you to see.

The composite filling material gives a result very similar to your existing teeth. The advantages and disadvantages of a white filling will need to be discussed for each tooth. Recent advances in technology make these fillings more attractive for many uses.

An inlay, as a restoration, is usually stronger than a filling and less destructive than a crown. They are mainly used on premolars and molars. An inlay is made in the dental laboratory out of yellow gold, white gold, composite (tooth coloured) or porcelain.

Root treatments are available for all teeth when recommended after your dental examination. This can be an excellent way to save a painful tooth instead of extracting it. Dr Sorin Campeanu will root treat your teeth if this dental treatment is required.

Bridges

Dental Bridges are an excellent alternative to wearing dentures and is used to fill gaps in your teeth which are missing or lost through accident or decay. A bridge will improve both the appearance and function of your teeth and prevent further damage to surrounding teeth and gums.

For a 3 unit bridge, your investment starts at:
£2100

Types of bridges

The surrounding teeth are cut down to form an anchor for the replacement tooth or teeth. Impressions are then taken and sent to our dental laboratory. A bridge is usually made of porcelain and is attached to your prepared teeth adjacent to the gap and the shade and shape of the bridge is decided by you and the dentist. When you are completely satisfied, the dentist will fit the bridge.

Very little or no tooth preparation, this type of bridge is stuck to the teeth on either side of the gap or just to one tooth.

Each type of bridge has its advantages and disadvantages and these need to be taken into account when deciding on the appropriate solution.

From impressions to fit of the bridge 2-3 weeks.

  • Alternative to dentures;
  • Used for missing teeth from accident or decay;
  • You will be able to decide on the shape and colour of the bridge you want.

Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is a great option if you are looking to change the shape and contour of your teeth to improve your smile.

A composite filling material is applied to your teeth in the surgery and made to blend into the rest of your teeth.

Unlike porcelain veneers or crowns, composite bonding doesn’t require taking off any of the tooth enamel, making this a minimally invasive procedure.

For composite bonding for one tooth prices start at:
£280

More details about composite bonding

Florin will prepare the tooth with etch and bond and then apply the composite in very small amounts, moulding it to form the new contour of the tooth. He will then set the composite with a special light and usually, there is no drilling involved!

Composite bonding should last 5 – 10 years and for the first 12 months any repair to the composite is free of charge.

1 tooth – 30-40 minutes; multiple teeth – would require individual quotation.

  • Great procedure to change the shape or contour of teeth to improve your smile;
  • Quicker and less expensive than laboratory made products;
  • Can last up to a maximum of 10 years.

Dental Crown

If your teeth have broken then a dental crown can be the best treatment to opt for. A crown is a porcelain or metal covering that fits over your natural tooth. The tooth is first cut down, impressions are made and then sent to the dental laboratory to be made. You can decide, with the dentist, which shade will suit you and match your other teeth and we can change the shape and length of the crown to enhance your smile.

For one dental crown prices start at:
£700

More on how we make dental crowns

The crowns are fitted, when you and Florin are completely happy with the look and fit of them. Only then will the final crowns be bonded on to your teeth. Whilst your dental crowns are being made you will be fitted with temporary crowns which will be made in the surgery at Nottingham.

From impressions to fit 2-3 weeks.

A dental implant is a titanium insert that is placed into the bone of your jaw to replace a missing tooth or teeth. The implant then has an abutment screwed into it. After the healing phase a crown, bridge or overdenture is attached to the abutment(s).

For one dental implant + one implant retained crown prices start at:

At first, having an implant may seem like a daunting option, however, we can put you in touch with patients who have had the treatment done before to give you more insight into the experience.
